Job Title: HV Battery Engineer

Job Description

• Detroit Production Plant – R&D liaison to HV battery assembly line to address technical topics on a daily basis, including performing root cause analysis and validation of correct actions.

• Field Quality - R&D interface to quality and customer support center to address technical topics from customers as needed, including performing root cause analysis and validation of correct actions.

• Test Planning – Review ICM’s and bundle validation by test cycle on a monthly basis. Obtain RFQ from external test suppliers once validation test is defined. Vehicle test

• Prototype Parts – Submit procurement request(s) for prototype parts through the E4 lab procurement team.

• Prototype Build – Schedule prototype build with the HV battery assembly line or the E4 lab.

• Test Execution – Execute test bench testing at internal or external facility or vehicle testing in the functional vehicle.

• Teardown – Schedule & participate in the teardown of prototype batteries in the E4 live works room. Assess battery components in the global teardown report system (GTRS) and conduct virtual teardown of the battery with the global counterparts.

• Data Transfer - Ensure data transfer and storage functionality from test activities daily, weekly, or as requested.

• Test Report – Create test report summarizing the results and recommendations.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Redford Charter Township, Michigan.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a shop and office environment with seasonal testing on the road.
