CommonSpirit Health Hospitalist Pediatrician, Academic in Redding, California

Com join our amazing team of Hospitalist Pediatricians

We are very excited to be opening a third physician to this team. This opportunity works directly with our Family Medicine Residents and provides coverage to our Level II hospital. The schedule is 1 week on and two weeks off (with light administrative and education tasks on off week) and the off weeks can be remote.

Qualifications

?Appointment as a Clinical Faculty member for the Program of the University of California, UC Davis, School of Medicine required

?Current California MD license required

?Valid and unrestricted United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration required

?Membership in good standing of hospital's medical staff required

Responsibilities

?The incumbent provides professional clinical services within the scope of the clinical Faculty responsibilities and under the guidelines of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)

?The incumbent provides supervision of medical care delivery for the organization's clinic

?The incumbent will serve as a preceptor and mentor for Resident Physicians which includes observing care provided and providing ongoing feedback

?In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing and delivering teaching conferences for residents, students, staff, other faculty, and mid-levels on medical topics as needed

Overview Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. Mercy Medical Center Redding is an award-winning 267-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and da Vinci robotic surgery. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers north of Sacramento and houses the only Community Level III neonatal ICU in Shasta County. In addition, the hospital's network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice, Golden Umbrella Adult Day Health Care, and Shasta Senior Nutrition Program.

Mercy Medical Center Redding is a member of the Dignity Health system of healthcare providers and are a sister facility to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff and Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta.
