POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM -- 2:30PM) Fabricator based in Reamstown, PA. The Fabricator is responsible for operating milling machine, various small hand tools, metal cutting equipment, and small presses to assist in production operations, assembling components from cut and prepared materials up to the packaging of finished product.
HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $24/hr - $27/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Use tape measure and calipers to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Inspect unassembled materials to ensure proper finish, length, and shape as defined on drawings and order documentation.
- Assemble finished product by positioning of parts per requirements of the unit being assembled or by following shop drawings and quality control requirements
- Perform minor tool changes and minor machine set-ups to cut, saw, drill and mill components
Use hand tools (manual and powered) to drill and tap components for assembly
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- High School Diploma and/or GED Certification
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawing
- Demonstrated mechanical abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch
