POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an Assembler to join our Operations team in Reamstown, PA. This position is responsible for performing assembly and packaging tasks required in the manufacturing process of automatic doors.

The pay for this role will range from $20/hr. to $25/hr. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.).   This position has a $2,000 sign on bonus!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare work to be assembled, studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Package product to meet standards -- headers, jambs transoms and door panels
• Use hand tools to assemble and measure required parts
• Check specifications by measuring completed component and reject if established quality standards are not met
• Communicate with internal engineering and customer support about customer complaints and concerns
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or GED
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Able to stand up to 8 hours at a time
• Ability to operate machinery
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

WHAT WE PREFER

• Basic understanding of warehouse shipping and receiving procedures
• Experience with spreadsheet and database software (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
