JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Berks Continuing Education is currently seeking applications for a Part-Time Brewing course instructor.

This individual must be familiar with the brewing process and have knowledge of the brewing business. Individuals will work remotely utilizing a prepared course outline; they will be responsible for bringing additional course resources, whether written, video/audio tapes, book recommendations, etc., and making them available via Canvas, the Penn State course management software.

Instructors will be responsive to student inquiries throughout the course and will host a weekly hour long discussion session via Zoom.

Administratively, the instructor will develop and grade course assessments, submit grades, and assist the Continuing Education personnel when required. Instructors will participate in information sessions as necessary and serve as hosts at planned course field trips.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
