CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Engineering Designer II to join our Power & Manufacturing - Electric Substation Team at our office in Reading, PA.

Our expertise extends to various insulation mediums, including air, gas, liquid, or solid, catering to transmission, distribution, and generation needs. We seamlessly handle AC/DC conversion across diverse applications, from traditional fossil fuels to cutting-edge renewable energy projects, and our proficiency extends to working with electrical-mechanical systems, seamlessly transitioning from legacy to intelligent protection and control systems. The Engineering Designer II assists with the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings and documents. At CHA, our Engineering Designer II collaborates with design teams on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

The Engineering Designer II develops the ability to independently establish simple or routine contract drawings. The Engineering Designer II attains knowledge of the engineering discipline standards, codes, and systems through assisting with contract document preparation, and examines contract documents or drawings for errors. The Engineering Designer II uses drawing production software (REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.) to create construction documents.

REQUIREMENTS

Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science or related technical field is required A minimum of 2 years' experience of document production experience in the related engineering discipline Proficient with discipline-based software (REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) Demonstrates a good working knowledge about the respective engineering discipline Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences Strong work ethic and desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist senior s aff

SALARY RANGE:

$60,000 - $75,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
