Responsibilities: Work independently or with a team creating accurate, working prototype vehicles. Candidates will be assigned to Weld Group, Assembly Group, or Paint Group depending upon experience of the candidate and business need. Successful Candidates will have: Strong mechanical aptitude. Ambition to be productive, engaged, and participate with a team. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and follow directions. Strong attention to detail and quality minded. Ability to retain information for daily responsibilities. Ability to use various hand tools and power tools. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work overtime as needed. Communicate effectively. Maintain a clean and organized workplace. Ability to repetitively get in and out of vehicles and occasionally lift 50 lbs. Understanding of the Metric System and basic math skills. Candidates with some of the following will be considered: Strong knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to troubleshoot problems. Automotive factory experience or previous automotive dealership experience. OEM experience is preferred. ASE certifications. Experience operating shop equipment such as A/C, coolant, and vehicle alignment machines. Tech School /Trade or Vocational school. General measurement proficiency including use of micrometers, calipers, bore, tip and height gages. Engine, transmission, and Hybrid vehicle experience.
