The Growth & Partnerships’ Manager for Cryopreservation Center (CPC) is a strategic liaison between internal business customers, collaborators, and external partner(s). The CPC Lead will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and overall management of external partnership responsible for the cryopreservation of patient’s apheresis material. The CPC lead is responsible for ensuring the site is properly segmented (fit for purpose), organize a virtual management team encompassing cross functional leads which will establish, measure, analyze, and ensure base business, launches, long-term, and individual goals are aligned with Janssen’s strategic objectives. The success of this role is measured by zero impact to patient, timely launch, maintaining a “commercial ready” network that is agnostic to clinical and commercial patient needs, business continuity of supply to our customers (internal and external) within region. An open-minded leader with a growth mindset that can be innovative, strategic, and comfortable with ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a primary liaison between external partnerships with CPCs for Advanced Therapies and Internal business partners.

  • Sets up and handles a balanced working relationship with external partners, which may include preparing for a New Product launch, developing project and ramp up plans at CPC for growth, begin to establish performance indicators and monitor Site’s health focused on sustainability, reliability, and business continuity.

  • Serves as a business conduit across Clinical and Commercial Supply chains in relation to Advanced Therapies; such programs can vary from early to late-stage development, and L&A while ensuring to minimize risk as programs moves into commercial readiness.

  • Leads the Virtual Management Team (VMT) interfacing externally with a CPC Site supporting Advanced Therapies.

  • Incorporates CPC into account management processes to include but not limited to QuickBase, PowerBI, Segmentation FFP, Account Plan, Quarterly Health Checks, Risk Assessment, Business Continuity Planning, Health Care Compliance, Cybersecurity, and supply mitigation initiatives.

  • Drives strong collaboration and execution among internal and external Partners during issue management and/or unplanned events.

  • Serves, promotes, and delivers diversity & inclusion culture within J&J.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent University Degree is required. Focused degree in the disciplines of Supply Chain Business, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and/or Cell and Gene Therapy is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in Planning, Operations, Supply Chain, Cell & Gene Development, or related field

  • Proven ability to prioritize initiatives/issues, operating across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation, and partnering

  • Experience working and leading in a diverse matrix team environment.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to effectively communicate and present to all levels of leadership.

  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, and PowerPoint)

  • Able to deliver a structured and Fit-For-Purpose (FFP) team, familiar with segmentation and cross functional teams

  • Business development mentality and able to operate independently.

  • Being flexible, entrepreneurial, and able to perform in a demanding environment.

  • Experience managing multiple projects, competing priorities and ability to advance with good organizational skills to meet business needs focused on the patient/ customer

Preferred:

  • Experience working with either of the following applications: Tableau, Oracle, Minitab and/or SLACK

  • Experience in presenting and building relationships with varying levels of leadership teams

  • Lean / Six Sigma / Process Excellence tools & methodologies experience, training, or certification

  • Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP or FPX)

Other:

  • Requires ability and flexibility to accommodate global work schedules, balancing work, and personal time

  • Requires up to 25% domestic and/or international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 100,000 to 172,500.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
