Adecco has partnered with a well-established Accounting firm dedicated to providing comprehensive accounting services to a diverse clientele, including individuals, small businesses, and corporations. They are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information and advice. They are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team. This position is a Temp to Perm Opportunity, giving you time to ensure this is the perfect job for you!

Job Summary:

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. This includes recording day-to-day financial transactions, updating the general ledger, and reconciling accounts to ensure the financial data is accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record Financial Transactions: Enter daily financial transactions including sales, receipts, payments, and other financial activities into accounting software.

  • Maintain General Ledger: Update and maintain the general ledger with accurate financial data.

  • Reconcile Accounts: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile other accounts as needed.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and follow-up on overdue accounts.

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.

  • Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll processing by recording payroll transactions and ensuring accurate records.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, and assist with audits as required.

  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and address any bookkeeping-related inquiries.

  • Support Senior Accountants: Provide support to senior accountants and accounting managers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in an accounting firm setting.

  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (specifically QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities

Pay Details: $17.00 to $25.00 per hour
