Req’d Education: High School Diploma - Trade Training a plusEmployee Type: Full Time Req’d Experience: 5+ yearsIndustry: Industrial, Manufacturing Req’d Travel: LowDescription:The Production Planner schedules, coordinates, and monitors the flow of products through the production cycle. The successful candidate will provide timely planning and scheduling of purchasing requirements and manufacturing work orders in order to achieve equipment delivery dates. A successful Production Planner will be knowledgeable of material requirements and demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and problems solving skills. Primary Responsibilities:•Work with MRP system to create work orders for production floor from engineering releases•Work with MRP system to create requirements for purchasing from engineering releases•Assist Production Manager to coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability•Monitor material supply flow and inventory and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage•Address issues regarding quality and production (DFR’s)•Perform a variety of production related tasks and data entry duties, some non-routine and complex in nature•Work under minimal supervision, using good judgment in resolving routine problemsRequired Qualifications:•Excellent organizational and time-management skills•Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) software•Ability to read drawings and understand symbols and bills of material •Excellent computer skills particularly with MRP software and Excel•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Strong regard for product quality •Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position or role Physical Requirements:The physical demands and characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. •Sitting, standing, and walking for periods of time and scending and descending stairs•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.•Ability to work around others, and with others.•Physical duties are subject to change.•Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Preferred:•Work in a manufacturing shop floor environment•Experience of shop practices and equipment•Experience using MRP Management system - Jobscope a plusCondition of Employment:Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.Consarc Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
