Located in the north foothills of Rancho Cucamonga, Pinwheel Pasta features a full-service restaurant, delivery, and curbside pick-up. Join the Pinwheel Pasta staff and work alongside our Executive Chef and culinary team to launch our beautiful new restaurant. THE ROLE: Pinwheel Pasta is seeking talented Line Cooks to join our culinary department. Selected candidates will be responsible for supporting our Executive Chef in executing culinary operations. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for assisting culinary staff in meeting daily operation goals. Participates in ongoing training, maintains equipment, notify the chef of order needs and maintains a positive attitude. • Learn and maintain standards in food production and quality. Expedite orders in a timely manner. • Practice excellent operational sanitation. • Execute scheduled banquet functions. • Maintain a professional relationship with fellow associates. Help reduce loss/waste. • Communicate equipment repair needs with the chef. • Actively participate in training efforts. • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance. • Attend staff meetings. • Check and date all deliveries received and report any variances to the chef in charge. Verify that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis. QUALIFICATIONS: • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • May be required: to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the organization. • Frequently stand and walk; talk and hear. Regularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle; taste or smell; reaches with hands or arms. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. • Reliable and predictable attendance. • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. • Required: Active San Bernardino Food Handlers Card.
