Robert Half Project/Program Manager in Rancho Cordova, California

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Project/Program Manager - NON IT 4 in Rancho Cordova, California. This role primarily involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities in fields such as engineering research and development, financial systems, and product roll-out, among other non-IT based projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project scopes, making detailed plans to achieve project goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.

  • Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate staff work, overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence.

  • Analyze technology and resource needs, alongside market demand, to plan and assess project feasibility.

  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

  • Review, recommend, or approve contracts and cost estimates.

  • Direct, review, and approve product designs and changes.

  • Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare detailed project specifications.

    Requirements

Skills Required:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong capability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.

  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.

  • Comprehensive understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

  • Proficiency in computer software, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field required.

  • PMI or PMP certification is preferred.

  • Must have 8-10 years of relevant experience.
