Required Skills:
Technical Accounting Manager, M&A Responsibilities:
Interpret U.S. GAAP accounting standards and SEC guidance to determine the accounting and financial reporting treatment, including internal control considerations, for new, material, and/or complex, unusual transactions or agreements, including in the deal structuring phase.
Prepare or review technical accounting memorandums for significant transactions.
Partner with internal and external valuation specialists to complete purchase accounting for acquisitions.
Communicate key highlights and impacts of acquisitions and investments to Finance and Accounting leadership.
Provide insight to or participate in preparation of new or existing accounting policies with the Accounting Policy Governance team based on evolving industry standards and best practices and drive changes in those areas.
Monitor, understand and provide interpretation of new and proposed accounting pronouncements in areas of focus to assist key stakeholders in assessing financial, operational and reporting implications.
Facilitate trainings on relevant accounting topics to Meta personnel.
Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an accounting-related occupation. Position requires a Certified Public Accountant License.
Requires 3 years of experience in the following:
- Financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and divestiture transactions, including quality of earnings, quality of net assets, net debt analyses, and carve-out financial statements at a large public accounting firm
- Technical research and application of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including documentation of technical memos
- Financial statement auditing or financial accounting at a large public accounting firm including Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and Sarbanes Oxley 404 (SOX) compliance and
- Data analytics tools, including Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, etc.
Public Compensation:
$198,385/year to $232,320/year + bonus + equity + benefits
