Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Standards Compliance Engineer to work in our Raleigh, NC. facility. This role offers a hybrid work schedule.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80,250 - $117,700 a year.

What you’ll do:
Be a part of the team responsible for ensuring our critical infrastructure such as data centers, businesses, and electric vehicle charging stations remain functional in the face of whatever power quality issues they face! Our growing team is expanding our product portfolio with next-generation technologies, and we need employees with a passion to ensure that they make what matters to our customers work without question!
This Senior Compliance Professional is responsible for overseeing regulatory certification procedures and maintaining documentation for both new and existing products.
What you’ll do:
Establish the requirements for our products and communicate this plan to the design team and business leaders.
Collaborate with the design team and assist with validation and regulatory testing to ensure all criteria are met.
Coordinate with NRTLs and development teams for clear communication and timely project execution.
Plan and oversee the creation of certification submission samples.
Responsible for the organization, maintenance, and coordination of the standards library and certificates (UL, ICE, MIL Spec, etc.).
Maintain certifications and ensure the business remains compliant with current safety and environmental requirements.
Manage conflicts related to certification, variation notices, or non-conformance issues; act as the project lead to resolve them.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of two (2) years direct work experience in an electrical industry regulatory compliance role
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with product safety certification with leading NRTL’s (UL, Intertek, TUV, CSA).
Experience working with emerging environmental, REACH, TSCA and ROHS requirements
Experience in project management (PMP)
