Insight Global Sr Building Automation Systems Engineering Specialist in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Sr. Building Automation Systems Engineering Specialist to join our client's team at a large financial institution based out of Raleigh, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of building automation systems, ensuring the security and efficiency of these systems. This role involves significant oversight of contractors, meticulous documentation, and proactive management of software and hardware risks.

Key Responsibilities:

System Installation:

-Lead the oversight of installation and configuration of building automation systems, specifically Tridium, Niagra, and Distech front end/hardware controls.

-Ensure contractors perform installations correctly and efficiently.

-Focus on smaller upfits, hiring contractors for physical installations.

Software and Hardware Risk Management:

-Maintain comprehensive documentation of all activities.

-Support federal audit teams by providing detailed records of alarm histories and programming edits.

-Proactively manage software updates and security vulnerabilities.

-Oversee certificate management within the software.

-Ensure timely application of software patches to address vulnerabilities.

Security Management:

-Stay informed about software updates and related security vulnerabilities.

-Collaborate with the internal vulnerability team to identify and mitigate potential risks.

-Ensure all identified vulnerabilities are addressed promptly and effectively.

Skills and Requirements

4 years of experience overseeing and/or doing physical installation, configuration, and/or programming with Distech, Niagara, Tridium, Allerton controls

Valid Driver's License Associate degree in technical trade or an applicable bachelors degree

Preferred Area of Study: Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Project Management, Facility Management.

N4 Certification null
