In this position…

We are seeking a highly analytical and innovative Spend Innovation Analyst to join our PolicyOps+ team at Ford. This role will be responsible for analyzing spending patterns, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting PolicyOps+ to optimize our investment processes. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a creative approach to problem-solving.

What you'll do...

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze outside counsel and legal vendor spending data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost reduction and proper resource

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to visualize spending insights on a regular basis.

  • Create ad-hoc financial models to forecast future spending trends and potential areas for optimization.

  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise manner.

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement spend management processes and policies.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies & processes and propose improvements based on data-driven insights.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in spend management and procurement.

  • Process Optimization:

  • Identify inefficiencies in current spending processes and propose innovative solutions.

  • Support process improvement initiatives to streamline procurement operations and reduce costs.

  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of optimization efforts.

  • Analyze supplier performance data to identify opportunities for better investments.

  • Develop strategies to negotiate better terms with suppliers based on spend analysis.

  • Maintain PolicyOps+ project tracking tools (SmartSheet).

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in business Administration, Finance, Economics preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in spend analysis, law firm pricing, procurement, or related field, preferably in the automotive industry.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative approach to finding innovative solutions.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data to various stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with procurement processes and supply chain management concepts within outside counsel.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

This position is a range of salary grades SG4-SG8.
