Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division is currently seeking a Senior Buyer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The primary function is to purchase goods and services of specific commodities including batteries, battery assemblies, and other ancillary parts, as well as arrange pickups and deliveries of materials, and facilitate returns when applicable.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80,250 - $117,700 a year.

What you’ll do:

• Review ERP notifications and place purchase orders for demand requirements

• Review shortages and open order reports to assess material demand as required

• Work with suppliers and Eaton sales team on pricing, scheduling of materials, and planning of future orders

• Provide forecasts and purchasing strategy to vendors that balance demand requirements and obligation risks

• Coordinate and manage battery drop shipments to ensure specific delivery requirements are met, interfacing with vendors, carriers and sales team

• Ensure correct processing of transactions for drop shipments in Salesforce business system

• Facilitate warranty returns for batteries and generate proper documentation for vendors

• Provide recommendations for disposition of excess or obsolete materials

• Resolve supplier invoice or other accounts payable issues

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in from an accredited university

• Three (3) years of purchasing experience

• Required working knowledge and experience with digital technology and processes

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must reside within a 50-mile radius of Raleigh NC. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management

• Purchasing experience in a Field Service environment

• SAP and Salesforce System Experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications

Position Criteria:

• Knowledge of MRP/Material Planning Systems (SAP, Salesforce preferred)

• Knowledge of general manufacturing and customer service practices

• Knowledge of purchasing practices & strategies

• Strong communication skills
