Robert Half has partnered with an established, and growing real estate development company in Raleigh, North Carolina to assist them in hiring an experienced Senior Accountant. This company is looking for a Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years construction accounting experience, specifically job costing. This role involves overseeing accounting functions, managing accounts payable and receivable, job costing, financial reporting and auditing, among other responsibilities. This position is predominately onsite, with occasional flexibility wo work remotely when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all financial activities for multiple development projects

• Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments

• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques

• Conduct internal audits to assess financial status

• Implement strategic financial planning

• Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual results

• Approve or reject budgets

• Conduct risk management

• Evaluate and decide on investments

• Allocate resources and manage cash flows

• Conduct profit and cost analyses

Requirements

• Must have proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations

• Profound knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Extensive Job Costing experience

• Must have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills are mandatory

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is necessary

• Proficiency in Sage Software is required

• Experience in Commercial Construction Projects is a plus

• Understanding of Construction industry is necessary

• Knowledge of Construction Accounting is required

• Familiarity with Construction Cost is a plus
