Robert Half Project Assistant in Raleigh, North Carolina

Description We are looking to hire a Project Assistant based in Raleigh, North Carolina, 27617, United States. This role offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity in the telecom industry. The Project Assistant will be responsible for monitoring local news and government initiatives, assisting in coordinating monthly committee agendas and managing monthly meetings, among other tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor local news and government initiatives impacting our association's members

• Inform the Director of Government Affairs about related issues

• Assist in coordinating monthly committee agendas, meetings, speaker recruitment, and information dissemination

• Oversee the management of monthly meetings

• Create informative content for the Association's website, weekly e-newsletters, and standalone emails for members

• Plan and execute department events, draft event communications, and collaborate with committee volunteers to increase member involvement

• Collaborate with the Director of Government Affairs to conduct annual candidate interviews for local public offices and assist in formulating committee's candidate funding recommendations

• Monitor current events, especially in the Triangle area, and discuss related public policy issues with the Director of Government Affairs

• Plan and execute events, communications, and fundraisers as directed by the PAC Board of Trustees and the Government Affairs Director

• Maintain reports and documentation for the association's political action committee Requirements • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a similar role such as Project Assistant

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Ability to manage timelines effectively

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• Experience in organizing files both physically and digitally

• Familiarity with scanning documents and maintaining digital records

• Knowledge of shipping functions and logistics

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
