JOB SUMMARY

Support the Marriott Franchise Security Program to educate internal and external stakeholders including owners and franchisees on Marriott IT Security Standards such as Franchise Security Brand Standard. Drive the enforcement of Marriott data security requirements and drive security awareness and Compliance opportunities in collaboration with OFS, Continent IT, GIS and Legal teams. Support the Franchise Property Security & Compliance Verification program as per GIS and legal directives. Perform Property Assessments, Reporting, Remediation follow ups and risk analysis in conjunction with GRC and other teams. Use strong property technology and operations experience to design and where appropriate administer processes that will improve information security & compliance posture at Marriott Franchise properties. Be a security expert and point of contact for our stakeholders, owners and franchisees for any seciurity related issues and escalations. Build stroing partnerships with all internal and external stakeholders.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required Education and Experience

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in related field or equivalent experience/certifications

  • 5+years progressive experience IT and/or IT Security experience

  • 2 years recent experience as a primary point of security accountability with some audit/assessment Experience (i.e. Compliance, Brand Standards)

Preferred:

  • Current information security certification, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), PCI QSA/ISA/PCI-P or similar

  • Working knowledge of industry security frameworks (e.g., ISO2700X, NIST, Cloud Security Alliance)

  • Experience with PCI remediation and reporting for merchants and/or service providers.

  • Experience of working with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA

  • Process management, problem resolution skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Experience in security systems and process planning.

  • Knowledge of business environment, service requirements and hospitality culture.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy to understand business terms.

  • Experience of working with different levels of stakeholders including executive leadership

  • Experience with geographically distributed organizations

  • Knowledge of Hotel/Property Technology

  • Experience working with Jira

  • Experience working with Power BI

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Support the management of Data Security & Compliance for Franchise properties as defined by Marriott Security Standards, Marriott Data Security Strategy for Franchisees and in collaboration with GIS, Privacy and Legal teams.

  • Develop strong relationship and partnership with OFS and other stakeholders to drive the Franchise Security Program

  • Provides point-of-contact security support for hotel owners/franchisees for any data security related issues.

  • Conducts Franchise Security & Compliance Verification Assessments as defined by the Marriott audit program. Supports reporting and governance for PSCV program.

  • Identifies and alerts on data security risks associated with franchise systems/devices connected to Marriott networks and impacting Marriott Security posture

  • Supports collaboration with Owners/Franchisees, OFS, Vendors and other Continents as well as Corporate Partners to remediate any identified vulnerabilities and data security/compliance gaps

  • Supports coordination with Owners/Franchisees, CIRT and other GIS teams for any reported incidents and remediations.

  • Creates or provides input on the creation of communications materials (ex: Documents, Presntations)

  • Creates status materials for security initiatives impacting Franchise properties

  • Tracks the status of remediation efforts impacting Franchises properties steming for GIS programs/processes (ex: Vulnerability Management, Cyber Incient Response)

  • Responds to property requests/inquiries until resolved.

  • Updates activity/task tracking as required by Security PMO

  • Supports education and awareness of Marriott Cyber Security requirements, including Franchise Security Brand Standard and other Marriott Security Standards to Franchisees.

  • As requested, contributes security knowledge/particates in meetings, task forces and working groups ensuring Continent and Global Information Security interests are covered.

  • Supports the creation of security metrics in alignment with departmental goals and objectives.

  • Creates of presentation materials in support of internal and external communications with security stakeholders.

California Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is $83,550.00 to $178,603.00 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is $83,550.00 to $162,366.00 annually.

Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $101,096.00 to $178,603.00 annually.

New York Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is $83,550.00 to $178,603.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only : The salary range for this position is $83,550.00 to $178,603.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
