The primary purpose of theFacilities Maintenance Technician -Electricianrole is toprovide in-depth working knowledgeand skills inelectrical installation, maintenance, alteration, and repairof secondary electrical systems and equipment. This role will entail hands-on involvement in ensuring thesmooth functioning and safetyof electrical components within a facility.
Key Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to:
- Performdiagnostic assessmentsto identify electrical issues in boilers, fan turbines, pumps, condensate receivers, steam lines, expansion joints, strainers, and pressure-reducing stations
- Conduct troubleshooting proceduresto isolate andrectify electrical malfunctionsacross various steam-generating equipment
- Execute repairs on electrical componentsof piping insulation, air compressors, and water softeners, ensuring seamless functionality
- Apply pipe fitting skills and other technical expertise as needed to maintain andoptimize steam generation and control systems
- Collaborate with team members toimplement preventive maintenancemeasures and ensure the reliability and safety of steam-related equipment
- Must participate in quarterly on-call program, carrying a pager for one week at a time. This occurs every ten to fourteen weeks.
- Must be able to work overtime and/or alternate shifts when necessary for emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
