This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except the State of Colorado.
Own and lead the establishment, implementation and maintenance of technical standards, system updates, reviews & service solutions to support the performance & growth of CBRE GWS NA Data Centre Solutions business.
Expected to provide the governance, set strategy and implement programs for our Critical Environment & Risk Management model with the primary goal being to ensure the efficient and safe operation and maintenance of engineering systems to achieve 100% plant availability and uptime.
Lead our technical capability, standards and operational compliance on contracts and will have the lead role in supporting the vision and route towards engineering excellence
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the governance, set strategy and implement programs for our Critical Environment & Risk Management model, ensuring the efficient and safe operation / maintenance of engineering systems
· Lead our technical capability, standards and operational compliance on contracts and support in the vision and route towards engineering excellence.Build an Industry recognized reputation within the Environment of ‘World Class Data Centre Operations’ Best Practice.
· Single point of contact for all Technical activities as the primary interface to the CBRE / Client Teams in region
· Lead Development of Data Centre Risk assessments of requirements and develop Asset Management Plans (5yr /10yr).
- Manage Capacity Management Reporting
· Drive development of Energy Management Program within critical environments operations
Act as technical authority providing advice and assistance to maintenance teams as required
Lead Root Cause Analysis
Provide Projects / Operations interface
Oversee the development & implementation of EOP’s & SOP’s
Deliver Technical Needs Assessments, produce gap analysis reports & develop training plans
Oversee the management & delivery of Essential Maintenance Periods as specified in contract scope
· Implement appropriate Change control process covering client’s business critical areas, responsible for supporting method statement approval for Data Centres
Assist in the creation of timely reports as required in relation to productivity, equipment reliability / life expectancy, failure trends, improvements, recommendations
Facilitate the implementation, adoption and embedding of the Critical Environment & Risk Management (CERM) model processes into the day to day operation
Conduct regular emergency response simulations and ensure action plans are in place for all possible serious incidents
· Provide Support to Commercial bids & scoping of Critical Services Opportunities
· Support client bids and strategic outsourcing through infrastructure and operational due diligence
· Be part of Global Best Practices organization to provide input and review of critical environments solutions.
· Some out of hours working will be required to facilitate the management of essential maintenance periods & specialist sub-contractor works.
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement,corrective action and termination.Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next levelmanagement for review and approval.Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization oflabor,includingovertime.Preparesanddeliversperformanceappraisalforstaff.Mentorsandcoachesteam members to further develop competencies.Leads by example and models behaviors that areconsistent withthecompany'svalues.
Motivate and provide directional leadership to multiple site based multi-skilled maintenance teams including sub-contractors within designated portfolio of buildings ensuring that staff deliver maintenance in accordance with building/asset requirements, compliance to safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of seven years experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices and techniques, laws, project controls and environmental regulations to include safety regulations.
One or more of the following preferred: Local Operating Engineer's License or Trade License, Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA), Real Property Administrator (RPA) Proficient computer skills; familiar with energy Management System (EMS) programming and fire alarm systems.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Universal CFC certification required. Additional certification in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system. Working knowledge of asset management, property management, leasing, disposition, and construction.

a. Provide sufficient distraction-free time for employees to complete all required HSE training & support the HSE training program implicitly,
b. Investigate and resolve (if possible) all reported unsafe conditions / acts and communicate results back to the affected stakeholders,
c. Support "stop work" authority when it is exercised in good faith,
d. Communicate any / all potential workplace hazards and workplace procedures.
