Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices as well as online and digital channels.
The Technology Manager has complete ownership of the portfolio of application(s) which they support and is primarily responsible for application remediation, tier 3 Production Support, and Audit Support. The Technology manager provides overall direction and guidance to Engineers/developers, and business systems analysts. She/he will have the ability to work under high-pressure situations and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment. They will serve as an escalation point to assist and drive resolution and root cause analysis of production issues for the Auto Technology Servicing Application. Prior experience in regulated financial services and application support is a nice to have but not a must.
Essential RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES
Proactively monitor and provide tier-3 Production Support, resolving risks and issues and initiating corrective action plans as appropriate.
Provide regular communication to management and stakeholders of Production Support status for your applications, including risks, issues and mitigations.
Manage a workload which is subject to changing priorities and demands.
Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand.
Collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders, sharing information and knowledge effectively.
Effectively communicate and interact with infrastructure and supporting technology groups across a distributed environment to drive problem resolution and service levels.
Lead staff in a Production Support group in a high availability / mission critical environment.
Experience in managing communications across business and technology stakeholders at varying levels across a medium to large scale enterprise.
Leads and manages team to accomplish objectives through effective recruitment & selection, training & development, performance management and rewards & recognition.

5+ years of technology engineering experience
4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
5+ years of application production support experience
3+ years of Unisys mainframe development experience
5+ years of Agile experience
4+ years of JIRA experience
Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: process improvements, continuous improvement, or LEAN
Other Desired Qualifications
Previous experience with modernization of legacy mainframe or backend system
5+ years’ work experience in Technical Production Support roles preferably within a large scale, global financial services organization
Extensive knowledge on the Unisys MCP, Clearpath, RP3, ALGOL, COBOL 74, COBOL 85 ,CANDE, MARC, DMSII, BLSOURCE (Source Repository), BLSCHED (Job Scheduling), BLPACK(Data backup), Programmers Workbench Editor , Work Load Manager(Job management), WFL (Work Flow Language), FTPS, SUMLOG (Unisys Log) DB dump for diagnostics and the DB Reorg process
In depth knowledge on the Auto lending process (Loan boarding, Payments, Repossessions, Bankruptcies, Charge offs, ALP, Vendor payments, ACH clearing and Returns, General ledger, Yearend (1099x) processing, Dealer Incentive/Participation and Accounts Receivable Process
Experience with a customer service mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
Knowledge of when to use technical and non technical language
Ability to build relationships with peers and management at all levels
Ability to work under high-pressure situations and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment that includes a global focus.
Strong problem solving and program execution skills while being process orientated
Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
Ability to work additional hours as needed
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
