SUMMARY:

The Employee Benefits Service Assistant is an entry level administrative position responsible for the assisting both our Account Management Team and our Marketing Specialist Team equally. This position will work with the two teams to ensure consistent messaging across both teams. This role is designed to ensure that all aspects of the renewals are completed on time, accurately and completely as well as coordinating with the service teams to ensure that data is properly stored within HUB Carolinas BMS systems. Tasks include gathering and managing all of the necessary information to aid Marketing Specialists in building, analyzing, and presenting renewals including Eligibility Audits, Risk Assessment Questionnaires (RAQs), EE censuses, and obtaining the quotes from various insurance carriers. This position also aids the Account Management in pulling all documents post renewal and housing these documents in the appropriate areas as well as updating systems with renewal data and aiding in keeping information flowing between the teams. This role is meant to be an aide to both departments and a learning area for the Service Team Assistant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Marketing Specialists with any marketing functions deemed appropriate by the EB Marketing Manager including but on limited to working within our renewal comparison tools.

  • Assist Account Managers with any servicing functions deemed appropriate by the EB Service Manager.

  • Assist in auditing renewals to ensure all marketing and service responsibilities are completed by team members.

  • Assist in preparing client facing materials including but not limited to Benefit User Guides and FlipBuilder presentations.

  • Manage all Benefit Point Renewals for Mid and Key accounts.

  • Assist Project Coordinator in any project rollouts as deemed appropriate.

  • Maintains organized filing systems.

  • Assist in ordering and preparing insurance carrier documentation including enrollment materials and provider booklets.

  • All other duties and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION, LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Highly organized, technical, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to operate independently and in a team setting.

  • Client service mentality with active listening skills and able to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and management.

  • Very comfortable with typical business technology including voicemail, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office products especially Excel, Outlook, and Publisher. Must also be comfortable with Adobe Acrobat Standard

  • Valid Life/Health Insurance Producer License preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred; High School Diploma required.

  • Travel negligible. Must be willing to travel within the Carolinas.

  • LA&H License preferred. Must have or be willing to obtain a NC/SC Life and Health Insurance License within 60 days of employment.

Required Education: High school or equivalent
