Red Hat Associate Project Manager - Technical in Raleigh, North Carolina

About the Job

The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for an Associate Project Manager to join us. In this role, you will focus on project management, business analysis, and agile delivery. You’ll be a part of a team that works with IT team members to share our stories about how we continuously evolve our culture, processes, and technologies across the organization; and you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects and offerings on a technical team.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a delivery lead for team projects and cross-functional projects on the IT team; provide overall leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of project and service delivery for the team

  • Ensure that engagements are correctly scoped and specified, delivered on time and on budget, and meet business and technical requirements

  • Provide excellent insight into new initiatives around dependencies and potential issues, help shape the design of projects, and rapidly identify and resolve dependencies and risks

  • Develop a deep understanding of team offerings and services and vision to help guide the evolution of the team

  • Promote an agile mindset throughout the organization

  • Effectively apply your knowledge to projects and enforce project standards and team norms

  • Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; guide escalation and resolution of issues

  • Track progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget; manage the reporting of KPIs, objectives, and key results

  • Anticipate, manage and resolve issues and serve as a point of contact for projects and engagements

  • Develop detailed project plans and associated documentation for complex initiatives

  • Convey initiative strategy, status, direction, and changes to IT leadership and business stakeholders

  • Manage stakeholder communication and promote collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders, including technical, operational, and management associates in other Red Hat’s teams as well as third-party organizations

  • Build communication strategy and implement communication plans for informing all project stakeholders at regular intervals

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of project management, scrum master, or service delivery experience

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects, programs, and initiatives

  • Experience with business analysis or product management

  • Ability to lead discussions resulting in tangible action items

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, business insight, and industry knowledge

  • Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders, building relationships and inspiring project decisions

  • Remain focused, versatile and comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change or unpredictability

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels

  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Motivated with the ability to organize and plan work with little direct supervision

The salary range for this position is $80,770.00 - $129,160.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
