Actalent Assistant Project Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Title: Assistant Project ManagerJob Description

Our company has opened a new branch in Raleigh, NC. We are looking to add an experienced Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support this specific project as well as future business. The position will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager (PM) and Vice President (VP) on document control between the owner, project team, and subcontractors. Responsibilities include supporting the team with scheduling, ordering materials, document submittals, and interacting with the team both in person and through written communication. Duties also involve typing, recording, and tracking all subcontracts and purchase orders; reviewing, transmitting, recording, and tracking all submittals; distributing all Architectural Supplemental Instructions (ASI’s) and Requests for Proposals (RFP’s); assisting in the pricing, submitting, recording, and tracking of all Requests for Change Orders (COR’s) and Change Orders (CO’s); recording and incorporating all supplementary sketches in the contract drawings; compiling the Operation and Maintenance Manuals at the end of the project in accordance with the project documents; maintaining logs for distribution at each Progress Meeting; attending all meetings such as Owners, Foreman, and Commissioning meetings; preparing and distributing minutes for each meeting; obtaining cover sheets for each submittal; tracking credits; preparing monthly updates for submission to the Architect for review; maintaining all project electronic and paper files; assisting the PM in preparing the monthly draft of Owner’s Progress Billing; maintaining subcontractor administrative logs (e.g., certified payroll, certificates of insurance, bonds, etc.); and performing other project-related duties as required for the progress of the project. Additionally, the APM will assist the Superintendent in the development of Requests for Information (RFI’s); recording, transmitting, and tracking all RFI’s; quality control; safety; compliance; and other administrative duties. The APM shall exercise judgment and maintain confidentiality on a wide spectrum of topics and issues for which discretion is required.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Work Environment

This position will be supporting the project team from both the office and the project site. The team in Raleigh is small, but you will be working in the Ewing Cole office with a larger number of employees. Interaction with a wide variety of personalities in the field is expected.
