We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate analysis and data entry of accounts payable invoices to ensure accurate and on-time payment to suppliers. This position is also responsible for working with our purchasing and receiving departments, as well as third party suppliers, to resolve outstanding invoice issues. In addition, the Accounts Payable Specialist will issue our weekly payment runs as well as perform miscellaneous clerical duties within the Accounts Payable Department. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Bachelor\'s Degree in accounting, finance or related field a plus. Minimum of (3) three years\' experience in Accounts Payable processing. Essential Job Functions Include: Enter invoices in a timely manner. Determine tax amount if the invoice involves taxable goods and was not taxed by the vendor. Enter into JDE E1 as appropriate. Troubleshoot problem invoices by sending information to the appropriate Purchasing personnel for resolution/direction. Pro-actively resolve issues in a timely manner. Obtain approvals and account numbers for non-inventory related invoices with no purchase order in a timely manner. Enter debit memos for debits not relating to specific invoices. Respond to all incoming inquiries coming in via the Accounts Payable email and phone hotline and respond back to the appropriate personnel within 48 hours. Review the outstanding RNI report and follow up with suppliers on items open longer than 30 days. Issue weekly payment runs for ACH, Wire and Check payments. Prepare bank deposits as necessary.
