Description We are in the financial services industry, based in Quincy, Massachusetts, and currently have an opening for a Credit Risk Specialist - Associate. This role will involve managing and monitoring customer credit risk, processing applications, and maintaining accurate records. It offers a long term contract employment opportunity, with the potential of becoming hybrid, with both office and remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze individual transactions and decide on the appropriate course of action

• Maintain adherence to Corporate Risk Policy and Standard Operating Procedures

• Use various system applications, such as MCH, MTS, IBS, and Hogan, to perform functions

• Respond swiftly and effectively to client queries, ensuring their resolution

• Ensure all transactions are actioned by market and currency deadlines

• Work with the Risk Monitoring Center of Excellence to perform a centralized first line defense function

• Evaluate Payment and Settlements that are suspended in queue due to insufficient funding or other Risk flags

• Identify and escalate transactions to the Business Lines and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to obtain details of covering funds and approvals for release to market

• Collaborate with the team to monitor cash activities and perform competitor analysis

• Perform all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines. Requirements • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to handle customer queries effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data

• Experience in providing training to team members and stakeholders

• Solid understanding of operations within a financial institution

• Knowledge of policy development and implementation related to credit risk

• Ability to manage cash activity and settlements efficiently

• Experience in reviewing financial documents and credit risk assessments

• Familiarity with the 'About Time' project management tool

• Ability to prepare and interpret financial notes and reports

• Proficiency in using a monitoring tool to track credit risk

• Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and manage funds

• Knowledge of REST API for integrating systems

• Understanding of standard operation procedures within the finance industry

• Willingness to travel onsite for meetings and negotiations

• Experience in competitor analysis within the credit risk sector

• Proficiency in Zoom for virtual meetings and presentations

• Understanding of regulatory compliance in a financial institution

• Familiarity with Microsoft Technologies for daily operations

• Experience in conducting phone screens for potential clients

• Strong understanding of credit risk management techniques

• Knowledge of corporate policy related to credit risk

• Experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and its application in credit risk management.
