  1. Compliance and General Legal Support
  • Assists in the establishment of compliance policies, procedures and programs or improvement of existing ones.

  • Be a key advisor to business leaders on general legal concerns.

  • Provides legal/compliance trainings to management and other internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinates with and responds to external regulators and government agencies in relation to legal concerns of local businesses.

  • Assists functional groups regarding certain governmental submissions, permits & licenses.

  • Dispute/litigation management and supervision of external counsel.

  • Performs corporate housekeeping and record retention duties.

  1. Contracts Support
  • Drafts, reviews, and negotiates various types of contracts with vendors, customers and other third parties, including but not limited to, Procurement Agreements, Sales Agreements, NDAs, Service Agreements and Consultancy Agreements.

  • Evaluates and provides legal approval on vendors and other third parties that transact with the company in accordance with company’s due diligence and Checkpoint processes.

  1. Employment-related Legal Support
  • Supports HR in disciplinary matters including but not limited to: (i) reviewing Show Cause Memos and Notice of Decisions; (ii) supporting administrative hearing; (iii) supporting ethics investigations.

  • Manages labor cases and external counsels.

  • Provides legal advice and guidance on other employment-related concerns.

  • Assists in the evaluation, development, and implementation of policies ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory in relation to employment matters.

  • Design and facilitate training programs and policy rollouts in the areas of: code of conduct for employees and managers, supplemental ethics training, other employment law aspects.

  1. Data Privacy
  • Develops, improves and implements data privacy policies and processes for the Manila entity and other entities/countries as may be required.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of data privacy programs for the company.

  • Manages relevant data privacy tools and data incidents, as may be applicable.
