Mission
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in payables management, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents. Additionally, the Accounting Assistant will be responsible for monitoring transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with Philippine Tax regulations.
Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring accurate coding
Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement
Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and address any payment-related issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including contact information and payment terms
Assist with month-end closing activities, such as preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
Monitor transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and Philippine Tax regulations
Assist with tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and other required documentation
Prepare various financial reports and analyses as required
Provide support in other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge and experience with Philippine Tax regulations and compliance
Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team
Profile
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 2-3 years of experience
