Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the overall External Funding & Universities Partnership strategy and execution, aligned with business priorities and compliance.

Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities, the role requires high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understand government investment strategy and policies, identify areas where GE Aerospace can partner

  • Program budgeting and resource allocation

  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate

  • Lead multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality and ensuring scheduled requirements are met

  • Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems

  • Portfolio content and timing alignment with strategic needs and targets as defined in the technology roadmap, interacting with Third Parties

  • Execute and provide guidance for the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet standards, practices and products/program requirements

  • Establishing/developing close relationships with key government organizations, academy and associations

  • Proactive, able to develop new and creative ideas as well as with strong ownership

  • Interface with external organizations and supporting functions, and direct/coordinate the efforts of project team members in order to accomplish overall goals

  • Participate with a manager(s) in developing, communicating, executing, and tracking program plans and goals.

  • Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization

  • Obtaining the government’s support and approval doing pilot projects and working with the businesses to operationalize

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position

  • Demonstrated strategic planning and execution, drives results

  • Experience in management of budget and resources.

  • Experience coordinating relevant projects with higher autonomy/ownership

  • Experience managing high level of conflict and labor issues

  • Demonstrated Project Management skills or the ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close and manage programs, projects, orders, activities or systems

  • Demonstrated experience managing ambiguity

  • Demonstrated quick learner when facing new problems

  • Proven experience improving processes analyzing both successes and failures, experimenting to find solutions and facing challenging unfamiliar tasks

  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting

  • Excellent written, oral, and comprehension abilities in English and Spanish.
