Job Description Summary
The CFM56 Systems Fleet Engineer is responsible of the fleet line maintenance and engine troubleshooting communicating business goals/programs/processes with customers and business segments. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems across all engine modules. Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Engine System Level (All Modules) explanation and urgent recommendations to end customers and Airframer (Boeing & Airbus)
Develop Module and Component Field Plans coordination for All GE/SAFRAN Modules and/or Hardware Owners
Flight Data (DFDR,...) interpretation for significant events
Coordination and Presenter in Operators Conference Calls, Symposium, Partner ERM and Airframer TRM
Solve complex Engine Troubleshooting and Line Maintenance cases at System level (All Modules)
Develop and present Fleet Scorecard creation & Fleet Reliability monitoring
Execute the analysis / evaluation of multidisciplinary projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
Significant Events Investigations Integration with Module Owners, Hardware Owners, Suppliers and Airframe.
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments
Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Lead the implementation of innovative analysis (for instance reliability analysis), processes and system solutions.
Effectively communicate and provide recommendations to internal and external GE costumers through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data.
Interface with external organizations and supporting functions, and direct/coordinate the efforts of project team members in order to accomplish overall goals, i.e Drives execution of technical solutions to address customer operational needs.
Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, i.e Leverages best practices and engine experience across multiple platforms to drive systemic improvements
Interface with customers with efficiency and expertise to provide direction and assume commitments.
Requirements and Qualifications
Effective written and oral communication skills at Executive level - English and Spanish
Ability to communicate with Executives and Senior Leadership; including external customers
Demonstrated ability in managing projects across functions.
Capable of coaching others to accomplish assignments.
Demonstrated ability in establishing common goals and objectives
Sole responsibility across GE of cross functional projects or modules.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
