We have a great opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work part time evenings! This is a great opportunity for a LPN looking for a rewarding working experience working with elders and honing their nursing and leadership skills.

What you will do:
With 74 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 18 two-bedroom cottages, The Glen offers seniors an array of services and amenities. The Terrace at The Glen, an enriched housing residence, provides assistance with personal care, medication management and maintaining a healthy diet for residents with the same unparalleled services offered by The Glen.

Responsibilities:
The nursing care of residents under the direction of the Nursing Director
Oversee and mentor a team of resident assistants
Pass medications to approximately 20 residents
Be able to self-direct with minimal guidance and prioritize tasks efficiently
Maintain detailed documentation and communicate and changes in residents needs to the team
Foster at all times resident independence and freedom of choice
Education of families to make the most out of their visits with their loved ones
What you will need:
Valid NYS LPN license
1+ year of experience working in a direct patient care role handling med passes
1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills
Understanding of assisted living regulations
Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities
Communicate effectively in a fast pace work environment
Engage within a team setting
Strong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staff
Think, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations
Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field
Pay Range: $24.00 - $30.10
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
