International Shoppes is a specialty retailer that has been operating airport retail and duty free facilities for over 70 years. In addition to the traditional duty free mix of liquor, tobacco, confectionery and fragrances/cosmetics, we place a tremendous emphasis on fashion and luxury. We operate a number of stand-alone high-end boutiques including Hermes, Bulgari, Estee Lauder/Clinique, Chopard, Mont Blanc, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Coach, L'Occitane and Gucci Watches & Jewelry. Our airport locations include: JFK, Boston Logan, Dulles, BWI Airport (Baltimore, MD) and our newest location - George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

International Shoppes operates from a corporate office and warehouse facility located centrally in Valley Stream, NY.

Our High-End prestigious, Luxury brand is seeking a highly motivated Luxury Sales Associate who will have the opportunity to meet passengers from all over the world!

The Luxury Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales and building customer relationships in our duty-free location. Associates who demonstrate high degrees of proficiency to interact with the customers and identify their needs will maximize their sales opportunities. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining the visual and housekeeping standards for the location. The associate must have an ability to successfully operate our point-of-sale (POS) register system and to operate our email communications.

We offer competitive compensation that includes Hourly pay plus Commission + Incentives, for Full-Time employees, a full healthcare benefits package including a 401K.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a complete knowledge of the merchandises features and benefits to maximize the sales opportunity.

  • Mastering all product knowledge which will be essential to your success and representation of the brand.

  • Be a quick thinker who listens to the customer and can identify his/her needs and overcome objections if raised.

  • Safeguard the store’s inventory by adherence to the company’s loss prevention program

  • Assisting in floor merchandising.

  • Supporting your fellow colleagues to promote team work and brand recognition.

  • Attending all required training sessions held by vendors and International Shoppes.

Experience and Education:

  • Fluent in English/Mandarin or Korean.

  • Proven luxury retail knowledge and luxury retail selling experience with a minimum of 1 year of retail sales experience.

  • Ability to sell across a broad range of categories such as clothing and accessories.

  • Must be flexible with shifts – Mandatory Weekends and Holidays

  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills allowing for effective communication with your customers.

  • Must be able to comfortably lift up to 25 lbs and stand up for long periods of time (at least 8 hours per shift)

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
