Systems Engineer

The systems engineer will provide support for USMC radar systems. All work will initially be done at the Quantico Corporate Center in Stafford, Virginia or onsite at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Quantico, VA. Based on the level of trust the candidate establishes over time with the team leadership, some telework will be possible in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage standard systems engineering principles and techniques for modernization, and development of future USMC radar systems

  • Focus on continued development, upgrading, production, fielding, and sustainment of future capabilities that will be integrated into the AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR and MRADR

  • Support the development of standard systems engineering products including requirements development and tracking such as a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)

  • Support through writing and researching the development of provision of technical inputs and data to the development of systems engineering documents, system specification, and DoDAF viewpoints

  • Support the conduct of SETR events using government provided websites and tools

Requirements:

  • United States Citizenship

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in Systems Engineering supporting acquisitions or defense engineering projects

Preferred Skills & Experience:  

  • Knowledge and experience working with, reviewing, or developing DoDAF compliant architecture products

Education: BS in Engineering or related technical discipline. (+5 years of combination of education, professional training, or relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degrees)

Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Travel: 20% Primarily within CONUS travel.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
