Job Description: SimIS Inc seeks a TS/SCI cleared Security Specialist to provide access control functions to ensure entry control points are monitored, personnel clearances are verified with appropriate badges exchanged, and only authorized personnel are provided access to secure area/SCIF within the General Raymond G. Davis Center, US Marine Corps Base Quantico. The personnel working under this contract will directly support the Security Division, Combat Development & Integration (CD&I). Personnel will NOT perform security-guard functions as that term is used in 10 U.S.C. 2645. No travel is authorized or required for this effort.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update access rosters and monitor and control the access of employees and visitors in and out of restricted areas.
Apply good customer service skills to assist tenants, employees, contractors, and the public in obtaining access authorization, and/or proper credentials for access to secure/restricted areas.
Screen incoming and outgoing documents and/or packages that are hand carried by visitors or employees, to ensure that they are properly wrapped and curried in accordance with CD&I policy.
Issue visitor and temporary badges to visitors and CD&I employees and properly fill out the CD&I Visitor Logs.
Properly open/close the Davis Center, to include the SCIF, and including the proper use of FF-L-2740 Combination Locks.
Complete security forms associated with the Open/Close procedures of the Davis Center.
Collaborate with CD&I Security Office on the execution of Insider-Threat Program. Reinforce the program by conducting random anti-terrorism measure (RAM) inspections on personnel entering the SCIF.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of High School Diploma.
Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility determination.
General knowledge of Department of Defense security operations.
Experience using clearance verification systems (i.e., Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Scattered Castles) to ensure only authorized personnel gain access to secure facilities.
Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and other access control technologies.
Able to perform emergency procedures such as CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED).
Strong verbal and written communications.
Ability to make quick decisions during high-stress situations and emergencies
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
