Action Facilities Management Quality Control Inspector (QC Inspector) in Quantico, Virginia

Job Summary The Quality Control Inspector oversees the Quality Control Program for the HVAC Mechanics and enforces adherence to the ISO standards and procedures. Assigned to the development, administration, and daily functions of the quality control program, this position shall be fully trained in their areas of responsibility including instruction and procedure development; product quality monitoring; inspection techniques; and inspection data management and analysis.

Shift:Part-Time or Full-Time, flexible. 2-3 days per week (Monday - Friday between 6:00am-6:00pm)

Pay Rate:$44.57 per hour

Essential Job Functions:

  • Quality management plans and supporting documentation to ensure that HVAC projects are being built safely on budget, on schedule, within scope, and in conformance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Administering the Quality Assurance Program throughout the contract for HVAC specific work order tickets
  • Assigned to the development, administration, and daily functions of the Quality Assurance Program, shall be fully trained in their areas of responsibility which may include: instruction and procedure development; product quality monitoring; inspection techniques; and inspection data management and analysis.
  • Oversees and can authorize the procurement of project safety supplies and equipment and is responsible for the implementation of the site safety training of employees and subcontractor safety training.
  • Submit daily field notes recording activities at each project site; prepare and coordinate material submittal sheets and shop drawing submittals; and prepare quality control reports.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for services rendered.
  • Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to PM processes.
  • Make recommendations to HVAC Mechanics on how they can correctly or more efficiently complete work or tickets and PMs.
  • Inspect and test the services and equipment maintained.
  • Perform inspections at random to assess quality of services.
  • Complete weekly and monthly QC checks on completed preventative and reactive maintenance work tickets related to HVAC systems.
  • Ensure accurate completion of assigned work tickets for maintenance tasks.
  • Manage quality management plans and supporting documentation to ensure that projects are completed on budget, on schedule, within scope, and in conformance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist with logistics and administrative duties as needed.
  • Support PM in developing integrated logistics support.
  • Ensure operations and maintenance contract scope is understood by site team.
  • Attend required stakeholder meetings, training programs, and reinforce requirements within the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • 5 years minimum of related experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, ISO Standards, or related
  • 5 years minimum experience working with commercial HVAC systems
  • Experience using CMMS systems
  • Experience in working in operations and maintenance in commercial buildings
  • Ability to multi-task and lead a project to completion
  • Excellent verbale and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong project estimating skills with a demonstrated ability to complete projects on time within budget
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and lead project to completion
  • Facilities management inspection and administration with similar large-scale projects
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Education, Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree n occupational health and safety, business management, statistics or related
  • OSHA 10/30
  • USACE QCM
  • HVAC journeyman license in VA

  • Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs.
  • Able to work at heights up to 30 feet.
