Role Overview

 

We are looking for a Buttercream Cake Artist that specializes on vintage piping and buttercream drawings according to customers' specifications and preferences & providing suitable recommendations on cake decorations and designs, and packaging bakery items, managing inventory, ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Creating and testing new cake recipes to meet customer demands.

  • Designing and decorating cakes according to customer specifications.

  • Managing inventory of ingredients and supplies.

  • Ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation of the baking area.

  • Maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

  • Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating cakes and other desserts.

  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.

  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers.

  • Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.

  • Create new dessert recipes, and test new flavors.

  • Creating and developing 3D Designs and must have experience in 3D printing.

     

    Ideal Candidate

     

    Qualifications 

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a bakery chef within the hospitality and catering industry.

  • Experience creating customized cakes for customers.

  • Proven experience as a pastry chef or baker.

  • Creativity and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Knowledge and competency

  • Solid understanding of pastry and baking tools, and equipment.

  • Knowledge of ingredients and their properties.

  • Exceptional proven ability in kitchen management

  • Ability to divide responsibilities and monitor progress

  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills

  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes

  • Excellent pastry and cake decorating skills

  • Artistic and creative.
