Paramount Finance Analyst in Pyrmont, Australia

This is a LEAVE COVER role ideally based in SYDNEY (Melbourne may be considered for the right candidate)

Enough about us! What youll do as a Finance Analyst:

This role supports the Senior Finance Manager Ad Sales covering all areas of revenue, linear advertising, 10Play advertising, affiliates and other revenue streams along with research and data costs. It also works closely with operational stakeholders and the wider Finance team.

Functions will include:

Reporting

  • Regular KPI and sales reporting

  • Digital revenue modelling

  • External reporting to various Digital partners; interacting with internal business managers to ensure contractual obligations are met

  • Month-end review, accruals and preparing month-end journals for approval

  • Manage commercial integration project reporting & B/S reconciliations

  • External revenue reporting to IAB, PWC and Think TV

Forecasting & Budgeting

  • Monthly risks and opportunities process for Linear/Digital and monthly forecast reporting

  • Ownership and delivery of the annual budget process which involves detailed Digital revenue modelling, and operational and capital cost analysis.

Audit Queries

  • Assist Senior Finance Manager Ad Sales & reporting team in any audit queries.

What do we need in this Finance Analyst role? Whats important?

  • Bachelors degree in accounting/finance or related field

  • Studying for CIMA, CA, CPA highly regarded

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a broad range of Finance roles

  • Strong business English language skills both oral and written

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Experience in SAP and Longview an advantage

  • Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry would be great

  • A proactive approach and willing to learn

  • Ability to demonstrate ability to work independently and show ownership and accountability for assigned tasks to meet deadlines

  • A team player with a cooperative approach
