Emerson Sr Engineer-Product Design in PUNE, India

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Product Design Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. You will be responsible for product design, Engineering calculations, DMFEA, Engineering work you're doing and Model & drawing creation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Understand Project / Work Scope, plan and deliver quality output / deliverables to meet the encouraged schedule and timeline

  • Design & Engineering changes

  • Work on selected design projects as a member.

  • Review drawings GD&T, analysis of fits and clearances.

  • Interact with other team members to meet and optimize product design requirements.

  • Develop 3D solid models and assemblies of design components.

  • Prepare engineering documentation including bill of material

  • Periodic Interaction with Engineering Manager thru’ Verbal & Written Communication

  • Leads Product Design and CAD Activities thru’ respective support resources as needed

  • Should be able to work in Engineering Laboratory for Product & System Level Testing following Safety Practices & Guidelines

  • Person will be handling all Engineering Change Requests/Notifications independently

  • Alignment to quality process. On time delivery & Quality of the work you're doing

  • Generate Project Metrics as per EIC-Pune and / or Business Unit Guidelines

  • Report Local Manager for All the activities

  • Supply to EIC-Pune Assigned Initiatives

  • Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required.

  • Collaboratively work with other teams

  • Willingness to learn is critical

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical / Mechatronics having relevant design exposure of @ minimum 5-8 years in Valve Domain, Solenoid Valves will be preferred

  • Software skills: Microsoft office, Creo (Expert level).

  • Aware of PDMLink Practices

  • Knowledge of Strong modelling and drafting practices

  • Working knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance Study and International Standards.

  • Good Knowledge of Solenoid Valves, Relief valves, Pneumatic Valves, Shutoff Valve.

  • Keywords: Solenoid Valve, Pneumatics, Air Operated Valves, Filter Regulators, Valve Design, Pneumatic circuit diagrams, Pneumatic Flow Diagrams, Pneumatic ISO Symbol

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, forging, casting, stamping, plastic molding

  • Conversant with MS Office Software tools such Word, Excel & Power Point

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team working player.

  • Respect company’s values and ethics

  • A willingness to learn is critical
