Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Software Engineer , you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Core Performance Engineer

  • Ability to get deep into end to end product performance engineering and identify bottlenecks and strategy for new feature impact on product performance.

  • Identify and solve performance and scalability issues involving large data sets, mixed work-load.

  • Strong understanding of system software, backup product and storage

  • Design, implement and test file system software using C.

  • Author architecture documents and design specifications for new functionality.

  • Work in a distributed-team environment using Agile methodologies

  • Leverage other development teams, QA and customer support, and constructively weigh and integrate feedback

  • Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction.

  • Collaborate well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily share information.

  • Significant contributor to organizational goals and objectives.


  • Experience: 8-12 Years.

  • Experience in file systems.

  • Experience in Unix systems programming.

  • Experience in C Programming, multi-threading, algorithms, data structures.

  • Experience in debugging tools like gdb.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Agile development experience is a plus.

  • Experience in Storage system technology.

  • Experience in Linux internals

  • Effective in a fast paced, dynamic team environment.

  • Understanding of business environment.

  • Communication skills.

  • Presentation skills.

  • Ability to influence others to achieve results.


  • Bachelors or or Masters in Engineering.
