Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Network engineer, you are expected to work on Networking products or solutions based on any vendor hardware /vendor operating system software (i.e. Vendor agnostic) with little or minimum support from superiors. E.g. include: Skills on Firewalls like Checkpoint, PaloAlto, FortiGate. Routers/Switches/ Load balancer. Typical examples of the other deliverables would be of deploying, managing and implementing networking solutions to address client business requirements. You will need to visit the domestic client's offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.

  • Provide technical inputs for monthly customer service review reports and creation of Service Improvement Plans

  • Working on the assigned tickets within the agreed Timeline/SLA as per the Ticket Priority/Severity and Adhere to the ITIL process with zero noncompliance.

  • Monitor the queue and maintain regular updates on the Tickets as per agreed timeline, providing the detailed closure summary on the tickets along with L2

  • Adherence and compliance to the defined processes and tasks assigned

  • Training and Mentoring Level 2 network engineers and other staff as necessary

  • Troubleshoot highly complex customer network Security issues and provide corrective actions to restore the customer services

  • Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex network Security issues in coordination with OEM & suppliers

  • Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Min 8-10 years of experience Network Security engineering on Design, Implementation and troubleshooting Firewall, load balancers, WAF

  • Good understanding on Firewall: Checkpoint, Palo Alto, FortiGate, Juniper and IPS

  • Implementation and troubleshooting Site to Site VPN (IPSEC VPN)

  • F5 Load Balancers Citrix NetScaler and WAF Imperva knowledge for Deployment and troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex WAN issues in coordination with carriers & suppliers

  • Assist is creation of Root Cause analysis (RCA)

  • Performance tuning of Network devices

  • Network Security (multi-vendor) experience - Cloud security (Native security controls in AWS / Azure / GCP) & security tool implementation in cloud platform.

  • Knowledge and experience in Incident, Change, Problem, Service request and Configuration Management Processes

  • Provide tier-3 (expert level) operational support for Firewalls to resolve critical business issues that require deep network troubleshooting techniques and performance analysis.

  • Independently own the Security Infrastructure support solving complex issues and suggest design modifications based on business needs.

  • Participate in troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis.

  • Assist Client security team during audit.

  • Responsible for smooth and efficient SOC operation

  • Periodic review with customer

  • Periodic review and advise on improvements.

  • Provide an effective network Security capacity plan.

  • Maintains policy and procedures manual, conducts monthly service review meetings with key stakeholders.

  • Provides leadership, management, direction, and technical oversight for the network Security operations department.

  • Planning activities, communicating status, and preparing reports.

  • Manage and govern relationships with technology vendors

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • CCNA or Equivalent Certification

  • CCNP (Routing & Switching)

  • Graduate in Computer Science/IT/Electronics Engineering, M.C.A. or equivalent University degree.

  • Candidates should have at least 5-7 years of experience for L2 working in Network Security.

  • Manage firewall/security systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access.

  • Hands on experience on Palo Alto, FortiGate, Checkpoint, Azure, Cisco ASA Firewalls. Network Security Technology - Cloudflare Monitoring and Troubleshooting.

  • Preparing weekly, monthly reports.

  • Incident reporting and Analysis.

  • Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices.

  • Performs network and security hardware and software maintenance.
