Lead the Configuration Management Team in ME function to ensure on time availability of accurate manufacturing Dataset for manufacturing operations and for development of New Product development. Implement APQP process in manufacturing change management process. . Run the Change Management Review Board process and lead the change implementation thru regular monitoring of CID, CRN ECN. Perform engineering review of manufacturing specifications, documents, change request and provide disposition and approvals as suitable. Support the implementation of new procedures, new systems & tools in configuration function for new customers thru cross function approach. Ensure 100% compliance to aerospace standards and customer requirements.

Job Description Summary

Essential Responsibilities:

  • CM leader is responsible for ensuring availability of accurate manufacturing data for procurement, manufacturing and inspection of products, in compliance to GE as well other customer requirements. Providing technical support and leadership to convert customer requirements into effective manufacturing procedures.

  • This position needs to participate in all phases of product development (APQP) from Customer Quotation through shipment of first production build. The CM leader is responsible for supporting various manufacturing-engineering functions, including process design and manufacturing process.

  • Shall have experience in drawing evaluation, manufacturing process feasibility study, perform tolerance stack up analysis and process engineering calculations.

  • Ensure customer requirements are understood and planned for deployment thru manufacturing procedures and standards.

  • Drive the change management in alignment with APQP process.

  • Shall have hands on experience in configuration management process.

  • Liaison with key global plants / stake holders to facilitate change implementation.

  • Use and implementation of lean and digital tools to drive predictable outcomes with analytics

  • Keep ERP dataset updated for Mfg Hours, Resource and process codes..

  • Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Graduate mechanical engineer or equivalent degree with minimum of 8 to 15 years of experience in aviation tubes and duct manufacturing industry with AS9100, NadCap systems.

  • Shall have a good knowledge, hands on experience with fabrication (Forming, Joining, NDT, Machining, Heat Treat, Chemical Processing) for aerospace.

  • Possess a demonstrated capability of leading the Configuration Management, NPI developments, APQP/PPAP per AS9145 / AS13001-4 implementation, FAIR per AS9102, for similar industry.

  • Good hands on knowledge with ERP Oracle – Manufacturing Module

  • Good hands on knowledge with CAD tools – AutoCAD, Unigraphics, TeamCenter

  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
