Lead, Software Development Engineer in Test

Overview

Cross Border Services enables banks in their capacity as Originating Institutions to boost cross-border payments service for consumers and corporates with a faster, better and smarter solution. A single connection provides reach to more than three billion bank accounts globally, and to both card and non-card endpoints including mobile wallets and cash-out locations in over 60 countries, supporting various payment types including person-to-person payments (P2P), business-to-person disbursements (B2P), business-to-business payments (B2B), and government-to-person disbursement (G2P).

This position will be responsible for driving best practices and automated testing within the Cross Border Services to deliver applications and solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders.

Role

Analyze code-review reports and development quality to make sure best practices are being followed.

Develops/monitors quality gating and automation strategy for a given project looking at code coverage and API vs UI level functionality.

Ensures Performance and Scalability for applications and platforms

Provides strategic support related to specific applications and systems; assists with implementing service improvements across delivery teams and other functions

Leads stakeholders through demos, presentations, and prototypes

Creates performance dashboards and collaborates with performance engineering and applications teams to resolve problems

Coordinates requirements reviews and performance testing activities; monitors resolutions and retains documentation

Identifies opportunities to improve effectiveness and time-to-market

Oversees identification and implementation of complex DevOps and automation efforts; replicates and resolves complex production issues for single application

Provides input into performance appraisal processes for junior employees and/or team members.

All About You

Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Possesses a strong knowledge of programming (Java), testing framework/tools (Cucumber, Karate, StormRunner ) and architecture patterns.

Successfully led project test teams; collaborated with business partners, vendors, consulting organizations and peer-level professionals across IT disciplines

Demonstrated expertise in BDD/TDD practices reviews and analyses testing frameworks and management tools

Experience in scripting, performance testing, and application development

Successfully collected performance metrics, built performance environment data sets and identified process improvements

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with software development methodologies, particularly with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
