Citigroup IT Business Sr Analyst in Pune, India

The IT Business Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Create requirements approach to identify and solve business problems/ needs.

  • Create and Manage requirements artifacts in the form of requirement documents/ product backlog/ feature catalogues.

  • Present findings and authored requirements artifacts and documentations to ALL stakeholders.

  • Create periodic status update reports for senior stakeholders.

  • Gather requirements through facilitating and fact-finding interviews.

  • Work with designers to review high level designs. Work with testers to review test plans and cases.

  • Liaising between various stakeholder teams such as technology, business, operations, production support, etc., to manage and deliver requirements for complex projects.

  • Identify possible risks and their impact and drive requirements change through proper change control processes.

  • Assist support teams by doing analysis in root cause analysis for issues and outages.

  • Coordinate and manage requirements/ changes with different teams in the bank to deliver liquidity projects.

  • Act with limited supervision.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Skills Required:

  • Should be a strong problem solver.

  • Should be able to quickly understand abstract and structurally complex problems.

  • Should be able to present complex problems and solutions clearly and pictorially.

  • Should be able to articulate complex business problems in simple terms.

  • Should be proficient in MS office suits of applications including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

  • Should be proficient in JIRA.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in requirements analysis, documentation, and management.

  • At least 2 years of experience in working in agile/ creation and maintenance of user stories.

  • Should have business analysis experience in Banking or financial services. Cash management / Liquidities services or in payments or corporate credit services area is a must.

  • Should be a good team player and should be able to contribute to the team’s knowledge.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in Business, banking, Mathematics, Computers, information technology)

  • Business analysis certification (such as CBAP) is preferred.

  • Agile certification such as ‘Product owner’ certification is preferred
