1. Assure conformance to complex specifications by verifying electrical/mechanical parts dimensionally, functionally and/or visually per established procedures, i.e. flatness, parallelism, concentricity, ohms, volts, and amps. Take initiatives to identify and resolve problems relating to inspection procedures, dispositioning of defective material or problems with parts received.

2. Hands on experience on CMM operations

3. Employ Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and take appropriate actions. Take initiatives and participate as necessary in continuous improvement activities.

4. Perform source inspection at supplier’s location. Assist in calibration, inventory control & maintenance of controlled gauges, instruments & tooling specified by standards.

5. Coordinate efforts with other work groups in understanding inspection methods/issues. Interface with non-departmental supervisory and technical personnel.

6. Lead activities to establish or improve feedback process and get feedback on inspection and supplier performance. Participate in customer/supplier visits and audit. Participate in Environment, Health & Safety activity.

7. Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
