What you’ll do:
Head of Contract Management - APAC is responsible of leading a team of contract attorneys spread across India and across the different businesses. He/she will provide central coordination for all operations in the APAC Region regarding the analysis, review, modification and drafting of important sell-side and buy-side deal documents where Eaton. He/she will ensure that value added contract management processes and systems are put in place and/or upgraded. He/she will see to it that requests from the businesses in relation to sell-side and buy-side contract review are met in accordance with agreed timescales. He/she will closely work together with the other Business and Regional Attorneys as well as with the sales and supply chain leaders in the different businesses in APAC to ensure maximum alignment between the business teams and the legal team.

Responsible for overseeing contract management department’s daily activities and managing workload and department inbox.
• Lead the implementation of established policies, procedures and practices in relation to sell-side and buy-side contract review, contract approval and contract signature.
• Ensure that sales and supply contract terms are in compliance with Eaton’s policies and procedures and provide structure around dealing with deviations.
• Establish a process to prioritize high value sales and supply deals while maintaining an adequate support level for other deals.
• Ensure alignment with other business functions (Credit, Risk Management/Insurance, Tax, Trade Compliance, Project Management, Pricing, Human Resources, Finance, Field Sales, Product Lines) for sell-side and buy-side deals.
• Develop a training curriculum for contract managers and design a structure that allows and incentivizes the contract management team to stay up to speed with legal, policy and market developments in relation to areas with high impact for the businesses.
• Develop a training program of legal topics primarily focusing on a customer interfacing audience and implement in all the APAC businesses, working together with the business attorneys.
• Ensure KPI’s are in place for the contract management department focusing on value add and productivity. Put in place a system to track these KPI’s and report out on these KPI’s during agreed timeframes.
• Actively develop all attorneys using the Eaton Leadership Model.
Qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
• 5-10 years Licensed Attorney
• 5-10 years contract management experience; relevant experience in industrial practice.
• 3-5 years of direct leadership experience developing high performing teams of people
Skills:
• Strong commercial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of corporate, litigation and regulatory laws in APAC
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent leadership and managerial skills
• Demonstrates ability to effectively interface with senior level management
• High degree of initiative, creativity and professional presence.
• Fluency in written and spoken English
