What you’ll do:

This position will be based in Eaton’s Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence at Pune.The person in this role will lead all materials associated operational activities for global Eaton performed out of CoE in Pune. This position acts as the materials champion for the Supply Chain Planning and Execution activities across all regions, business/verticals; including activities related to the following process: ERP Health, SIOP, Inventory Management and PO Management & Supplier Collaboration. The position will be accountable to enable all Global Business to improve performance metrics - such as: OTD (Customer and Supplier), DOH, Past Due, Premium freight, E&O,etc.The person should be functionally strong in Materials Management domain and able to lead & coach Team of Subject Matter Experts.A key aspect of this role is to execute to global functional strategies as developed by the Global Materials leadership team and the Materials Council (GMC), with a specific focus on creating capabilities in the CoE that will elevate the level of work from being a "supporting organisation" to being a center of excellence on the processes/activities under responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Execution: The Leader will participate in the development of strategies and solutions to ensure Global supply chain planning and execution requirements and responsible to implement and run these processes. Aligns and drive with global material council across all business. Skills in different perspectives. Set high expectations and galvanizes the organization to achieve them. Act as an I&D advocate and a talent scout & will be responsible for communicating the workstream goals/priorities and outcomes at all levels of the organization.

  • Lean Mindset and Continuous Improvement: In addition, the leader will also drive Continuous improvement initiatives at the CoE level in Pune and support extension to other CoE locations.Train and certify Leaders/practitioners on Lean. Develops the organization to make creativity and innovation a process rather than an occurrence, to address efficiency and process cycles. The Leader should be skilled at problem-solving and ability to identify and address issues that may arise during the execution phase. Should be conversant with Eaton EBS practices and lean methodology. Drive and leverage various systems and tools to automate processes and drive process improvements. Encourage use of quality tools like BPI, ELSS, A4, 8D.

  • Change Management: The Leader should have experience with change management, defining actions to own end-to-end or moving away from transactional to strategic partnership in the key workstreams per alignment with global strategy. Will be responsible for leading the adoption of a Digital tools and automation to optimize the workflow. At end, able to drive functional excellence to take the Pune CoE to the next maturity level.

  • Process Standardization & Flawless Execution: Regular review of existing controls and Governance of the standard processes and ensuring alignment to global defined processes.

  • Leadership: The leader will need to have excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage global priorities, drive changes, while dealing with ambiguity.

  • Project Management Expertise: The leader should have a proven track record of successful project management and be familiar with all aspects of the project life cycle, including planning, execution, and delivery. The Leader should be able to identify potential risks associated with execution. identify and manage risk in his/her business activities and take responsibility for reporting risks in a timely, open, and appropriate manner.

  • Communication Skills: The Leader should have excellent communication skills.

  • BOC: Attracts and selects the talent needed to meet current and future business need. Acts as a coach and motivator to help employees develop. Build a pipeline of high performing, diverse teams that apply their

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Graduate with Master's in operations/SCM Materials Management

  • Must have 15+ years of relevant experience in Materials management domain, with experience in driving the change to or running a center of excellence on the Planning and Execution function for a multi-national organization similar or bigger/more complex than Eaton.

  • Experience in handling global/diverse stakeholders, and a team of 200+ employees. Strong in Materials Management technical and practical knowledge

  • APICS CPIM or equivalent Certification

  • Analytical and process based Excellent written/oral communication skills, Project Management, Customer Relationship, Proactive work style, Strong leadership skills, Strong people management skills, has a passion for sustainability and doing business right.
