Manager - App Dev Generalist - IN

Application Development - Generalist role are involved in software development use specialized knowledge of programming languages, software integration and delivery platforms to build custom software applications and/or enhancements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • The job also involves application enhancement, debugging, maintenance and documentation.

  • They may also work on customization for in-house/third party product and platforms.

  • Common skill sets include (but are not restricted to) C, C++, Java, J2EE, .Net, Oracle, ABAP etc.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Job Overview: The DevSecOps - Director will lead the integration of development, security, and operations to ensure a seamless, secure, and efficient software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role requires a strategic leader who can collaborate with multiple teams to foster a culture of security-first thinking and continuous delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of DevSecOps strategies and policies.

  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into all stages of software development.

  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of security tools and processes.

  • Lead the team in automating security within the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations.

  • Manage incident response and remediation processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement of security practices through metrics and reporting.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the DevSecOps team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a DevSecOps leader or in a similar role.

  • Should have hands on experience on SAST, DAST & IAC integration with CI/CD pipeline.

  • Should have hands on experience on SSDLC and processes around it.

  • Should have worked on Checkmarx or Snyk or equivalent platform.

  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, preferably Azure & AWS.

  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and risk management.

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security certifications.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP & OSCP) are preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 16+ years in IT with at least 4 years focused on DevSecOps.

Skills:

  • Leadership and team management.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving.

  • Strong project management capabilities.

  • Proficiency in security automation and orchestration.
