About the role:

As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated CFD Engineer with 0-5 years of experience in performing CFD simulations for various industry verticals, mainly Automotive and Aerospace. Fundamental knowledge in working (physics) of batteries, fuel cells and electric motors along with simulation experience in this area is strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will support customers using Siemens solutions in the Flow and Thermal Domain (STAR-CCM+, FLOEFD, and BDS/BSM). Working under the supervision of a Senior Application Support Manager, the Application Support Engineer will work closely with customers to understand their engineering workflows, propose solutions, and standard methodologies to help clients meet their objectives. This role includes training, mentoring, and providing direct customer support, as well as preparing and delivering presentations and demonstrations to new departments in existing customers. The position works closely with the sales organization to define and implement initiatives to defend existing accounts while growing usage within assigned accounts.

Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with clients are critical to success in this fast-paced and broad engineering role. Qualified candidates should be self-motivated, customer-centric, and possess excellent presentation, time management, and problem-solving skills, as well as strong collaboration with the team. This position may require up to 25% travel.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • MS/M.Tech Degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering with an emphasis on CFD simulation.

  • In-depth knowledge of CFD basics, Heat Transfer and Turbulence Modelling

  • Good working knowledge of physics behind functioning of batteries (specifically Lithium Ion chemistry), Fuel Cells and Electric Motors.

  • Knowledge of Multi-phase flows and Fluid Structure Interactions will be a bonus.

  • Good knowledge of automotive and aerospace applications regarding the functioning of various systems.

  • Programming skills in Java/C++ will be a bonus.

  • Ability to conduct training classes involving participants of varying skill levels.

  • Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Flexible attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
